For the more experienced rider, take your bikes up to the 15 miles of trails at Moore Creek Park in Pope Valley for views of Lake Hennessey and some off road, mountainous terrain.
Want to feel like royalty at an Italian-esque castle? Make your reservations at Castello di Amorosa, a 13th Century, Tuscan style estate tucked up the hill off St. Helena Highway. The best time to visit is later in the day when the afternoon sun casts a gorgeous light over the stone castle and the epic views of the valley. Explore the grounds, sip their bold reds, and visit with the many farm animals on property – the kids will love it too.
For all you foodies, Acacia House is serving up colorful, perfectly plated farm-to-table dishes and signature cocktails, sure to create food envy for your followers and to brighten up your feed. Chef Chris Cosentino handpicks much of the produce from his gardens on the property, which you can wander through. Enjoy your meal on the wrap-around veranda (with the valley tumbling out around you) or inside with an open kitchen view. Truly an immersive culinary experience.
For serious wine enthusiasts, Viader Vineyards and Winery, a winery with a powerful origin story and multi-generational success, showcases the intense beauty of the Howell Mountain AVA. Tour their extensive caves, naturally set at a cool 55 degrees, and taste through their highly regarded wines in the hospitality center while enjoying the sweeping hillside views.
Not to be outdone, head across the valley and you’ll find Pride Mountain Vineyards, another winery with wonderful family history, nestled in the hills of the Mayacamas Mountains. Drink in the sprawling views of the epic vineyard terrain of the Spring Mountain AVA.
